Presentation of the Circular Fashion Manifesto, a SDA Bocconi’s initiative powered by Enel X
Since April we have been working within the Monitor for Circular Fashion community, a project by SDA Bocconi and powered by Enel X.
After months of work and opinion exchange online, we are pleased to attend the final event held by UNECE and SDA Bocconi on the 21st -22nd- 23rd September in Milan, during the exciting atmosphere of the Milan Fashion week.
The thee days conference, “Accelerating action for the sustainable and circular garment and footwear industry of the future”, is the results of several years of work and joint commitments on sustainability in the fashion industry. The three days event will consist of findings presentation, educational sessions and trainings on traceability and transparency as key enablers of circular economic models.

PLM Impianti within the Monitor for circular fashion
Since April we have had the opportunity to work within the Monitor for Circular Fashion community and explore technologies and innovative approaches to reach sustainability and circularity in the fashion industry.
As we have seen, digital technologies are key enablers for change and circular business models, especially when transparency and shared-accountability are concerned. Actually, traceability has proven to be the first step to sustainability, because it allows to track resources and processes, detect faults and work in a more efficient way.
As service providers in the textile finishing, our technologies are designed to improve quality and productivity in a rational way, by reducing errors and waste. In the context of circular fashion, our focus was on quality control and optimization as key enablers for a long term rational production. knowing in advance the quality of the fabric, as well as the position of possible defects, make the garment producer aware of its possibilities in terms of fabric efficient use.
Furthermore, we explored the key importance of data management for collective traceability and rational decision making.
